Five Themes: Gastronomy, Passion, Romance, Art, and Hands-on Experiences
Gwangju City will transform the entire downtown area into a festival venue this fall. This year, 'G-Festa Gwangju' is set to offer citizens and tourists a unique experience through innovative new approaches, different from previous years.
This fall season will run for 72 days until November 8, featuring a total of 26 diverse events. Notably, the season will showcase Gwangju's charm across five themes: gastronomy, passion, romance, art, and hands-on experiences.
One highlight of this festival is its innovative method of participation. Gwangju City and the Gwangju Tourism Organization have created a board game-style leaflet so that visitors can enjoy the festival like a game. In addition, a demand-responsive tour bus will connect major tourist attractions, and accommodation support will enhance convenience for visitors.
Under the gastronomy theme, seven events including the Gwangju Kimchi Festival and Beer Fest are planned. The passion theme will feature the Chungjang Festival and a music festival. The romance theme includes the Seochang Silver Grass Festival, the art theme features the Design Biennale, and the hands-on theme includes the ACE Fair, among other various festivals awaiting citizens.
In particular, a differentiated strategy has been prepared to attract tourists, such as offering additional benefits to those holding tickets for paid events. Detailed information can be found on the official G-Festa Gwangju website.
