Over 150 Items Across 16 Sectors Including Population and Economy
Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province announced on the 27th that it has published the 64th edition of the Sunchang County Statistical Yearbook, which compiles an overview of county administration and various statistical data.
This yearbook, based on data as of December 31, 2023, contains information on 16 sectors and over 150 items, including population, economy, education, welfare, agriculture, and environment.
The data was collected with the cooperation of each department and related organizations. It is organized to allow comparisons of changes over the past five years, making it easy to grasp local social and economic trends.
The published yearbook will first be distributed to relevant institutions such as the National Archives and the National Library of Korea. Any county resident can also access it through the Sunchang County website and the National Archives Portal.
The county has established a foundation for confirming structural changes and current conditions in the region through statistical yearbooks published annually. These have been actively used in policy formulation and administrative decision-making. The yearbook is also recognized as essential administrative data for developing regional development strategies, as it is easily accessible to a wide range of users.
County Governor Choi Youngil stated, "This statistical yearbook serves as a fundamental resource for county administration and as an important record reflecting changes in the local community. We will continue to pursue trustworthy administration based on accurate data and implement policies that respond to the changing environment."
