The Goheung County Sky Park is being developed in San 169, Hohyeong-ri, Goheung-eup. The site will include a columbarium, a natural burial site (lawn type), a memorial hill, parking lots, and a variety of other memorial and convenience facilities.
In particular, due to a recent surge in demand, the scale of the facilities has been significantly expanded. The number of columbarium niches has increased from the original 8,500 to 16,160, and the natural burial sites have grown from 1,883 to 2,214. This is expected to greatly enhance both user convenience and capacity in the future.
Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "We are doing our utmost to ensure that this memorial facility can be used with dignity by everyone, taking into account the reality that children who have left their hometowns find it difficult to make time for grave maintenance." He added, "We will make sure to complete the remaining work without causing any inconvenience to residents."
