Bucheon City Hosts Medical and Beauty Expo in Mongolia
Local Companies Engage in Over 200 Consultations
Expanding Opportunities in Dentistry, Orthopedics, and K-Beauty
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province has launched a full-scale effort to pioneer new markets by holding a medical and beauty expo in Mongolia. Mongolia is gaining attention as a key hub for attracting patients to replace Russia and Central Asia, with high trust in Korean medical services and steadily increasing demand in dentistry, orthopedics, and K-beauty sectors.
On August 23, Bucheon City announced that it had hosted the '2025 Bucheon Medical and Beauty Expo' in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, providing a platform for exchange with local stakeholders.
In the medical sector, Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital, Bucheon Sejong Hospital, Bucheon Woori Hospital, Yonsei Bonsarang Hospital, Apple Tree Dental Hospital, Nuga Cham Clinic, and Bareunyak Sog Dental Clinic participated, holding a total of 146 consultations with 31 local agencies. In the beauty sector, Bobo Cosmetics, Homecare, Bigpie CNT, Seri Cosmetics, H&Y Corporation, and Sweet Planet engaged in 56 consultations with 28 agencies.
The following day, individual meetings between companies and local agents were held at the agents' request, demonstrating strong local interest. Based on these results, Bucheon City plans to actively support local companies in expanding their overseas markets.

The Bucheon City delegation and medical institutions also visited the National Trauma Center of Mongolia to discuss medical exchange and cooperation with Hospital Director Galbadrakh Erdenetsetseg and others. The National Trauma Center of Mongolia is the country's only hospital specializing in trauma and orthopedics, and has been steadily conducting medical staff training, joint surgeries, and research collaborations with Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital.
Notably, Professor Lim Subin and local medical staff recently collaborated to successfully perform Mongolia's first 'anterior cervical corpectomy and reconstruction,' attracting significant attention in the region.
Beauty companies also met with the Deputy Director of the Ulaanbaatar Trade Center of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) to discuss the structure of the local beauty market and export strategies. Through practical discussions on local buyer characteristics and consultation know-how, they explored the potential for K-beauty to expand into overseas markets.
Bucheon Mayor Cho Yongik stated, "Mongolia is a country with high interest and trust in Korean medical and beauty industries. This expo will serve as an important turning point to widely promote Bucheon's outstanding industries and expand into not only Mongolia but also the Central Asian market."
