Busan Office of Education to Hold "2025 Student Initiative-Based Class Innovation Talk Hanmadang"

Exploring the Future of Education
Question-Centered Classes and the Use of AI as Key Directions

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on the 26th that it will hold the "2025 Student Initiative-Based Class Innovation Talk Hanmadang: Sumunsudap" at 2 p.m. on the 28th in the main conference room of the Busan National University headquarters.

Approximately 300 participants, including current middle and high school teachers, educational professionals, and students from colleges of education in the Busan area, will attend the event. "Sumunsudap" will focus on question-centered classes and the use of digital and generative AI. Education experts, current teachers, and lead teachers will gather to share concerns from the classroom and seek solutions together.

This is the second year the event is being held. The program will be divided into three sessions: the "Sumunsudap Talk Madang," where education experts and teachers engage in a panel discussion; the "Class Growth Talk Madang," where growth cases from nine different subject areas are shared; and the "Performance Madang," which highlights achievements in class innovation.

In particular, during the "Sumunsudap Talk Madang," participants will discuss memorable and less satisfactory classes experienced by students and teachers, using related video clips as the basis for discussion. On-site participants will also have the opportunity to share their concerns through a "Classroom Concerns Board" and work with the panel to find solutions.

In the subject-specific sessions, participants will share their real experiences of class growth under the theme "My Story of Class Growth" and engage in Q&A sessions with attendees.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun said, "I hope this event will provide an opportunity to share concerns about classes and serve as a catalyst for innovative change," adding, "We will actively support a class culture that fosters students' future competencies."
