This event, organized by Gyeonggi Province, was held to discover and promote outstanding cases from cities, counties, and public institutions that have proactively carried out administrative work at the forefront of public service.

The competition began accepting entries in July, and after a qualification review and a document screening of a total of 72 cases (29 from cities and counties, and 43 from public institutions), eight local governments and ten public institutions were selected as finalists to participate in the main judging round.

The corporation gave a presentation on its "Night Tourism Revitalization Project," which was implemented to boost the local economy and foster stay-type tourism content. The corporation was recognized for its achievements in several areas: gathering citizen feedback and securing financial resources for prompt and smooth project execution; establishing a "project governance" system by linking and cooperating with local stakeholders; and developing and operating night tourism content and programs utilizing local cultural and tourism assets such as Hoeamsaji and Jangheung Tourist Site. As a result, the corporation received the "Encouragement Award" and became the first public institution to win an award for four consecutive years in this category.

Meanwhile, the selected case will be widely promoted through the production of card news and inclusion in a collection of best practices. In addition, it will compete once again with other outstanding cases nationwide by participating in the "2025 Active Administration Best Practices Competition" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

President Lee Heunggyu stated, "I believe this award is the result of the dedicated efforts of all executives and employees who practiced active administration to revitalize the local community, with the full support of Yangju City (Mayor Kang Suhyeon) and the Yangju City Council (Chairman Yoon Changcheol). We will continue to respond proactively to changes in the policy environment and spare no effort to create best practices that residents can truly experience."
