ALT Builds Its Own AI Platform Following Implementation of Google AI Gemini

ALT, which is currently pursuing a merger with IBKS No. 21 SPAC, announced on August 26 that following its recent successful implementation of Google’s artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Gemini, it will accelerate its new AI business initiatives. ALT is currently developing a mobile device platform called 'MINET'.

ALT Builds Its Own AI Platform Following Implementation of Google AI Gemini

MINET is designed not only to collect safety and security management-based information accumulated during mobile device usage, but also to include a function for segmenting this information so that it can be used for AI learning. ALT is developing next-generation devices based on safety and security management by equipping them with features such as location tracking, administrator and guardian alerts, and remote management. MINET is being designed to collect data generated during the use of these devices.

ALT plans to secure an AI value chain centered on MINET. The company will begin by applying the platform to new products, then expand the platform linkage to its existing product lineup, thereby establishing a foundation for collecting data from its own mobile devices and apps. According to the company, it will not only build a foundation for applying AI engines by internalizing AI training data, but also expand its new AI business by designing AI apps based on this data.

ALT is already in discussions with top-tier global companies regarding the supply of devices and platforms. Unlike in Korea, the United States has high demand not only for mobile devices but also for service operation platforms, so the launch of MINET is expected to strengthen the company’s foundation for overseas market expansion.

An ALT representative stated, “We decided to launch MINET to expand our business scope from our existing hardware-focused business, such as supplying mobile and media device products, to a service platform. Through MINET, we will be able to accumulate proprietary data from our mobile device products, which will accelerate the development of new AI devices and the launch of AI apps, thus securing new growth engines for our AI business.”

He added, “After securing a key position in the domestic market last year and recently pursuing overseas expansion, we have confirmed strong demand for this service platform from global companies. Developed markets such as the United States also have high demand for AI devices, so we will expand our global market reach by providing integrated device and platform solutions and applying AI technology.”
