Studio N to Adapt "Sangnamja" Webtoon
Han Yuhyun's Journey from Ordinary Worker to CEO
470 Million Global Views, Drama Production Set for Next Year
Studio N announced on August 26 that it will adapt the webtoon "Sangnamja," currently serialized on Naver Webtoon, into a drama series.
"Sangnamja" is a story that follows the life of Han Yuhyun, who rises from an ordinary office worker to a company CEO. The work has garnered significant attention for its premise, in which Han, after losing everything he loves in his relentless pursuit of desire, returns to his younger days when he was interviewing for a job and gets a chance to live his life over again.
The original work is a web novel of the same name by author Kim Taegung. It was adapted into a webtoon in 2020 and has recently surpassed 470 million cumulative global views. It has been translated into English, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, and other languages, reaching international readers. Notably, it ranked first in the human drama genre popularity rankings on Japan's LINE Manga.
The drama will be directed by Kim Heewon, who made a successful debut with the Disney+ series "Lighting Store." Filming is being prepared with the aim of starting production next year. Studio N, recognized for its work on the Netflix series "Major Trauma Center" and the film "Zombie Daughter," will be in charge of production.
