Hurimrobot and EQCELL Launch Smart Logistics Automation 'Live Demo Line', Begin Full-Scale Client Validation

HURIMROBOT, a smart robotics technology company, and EQCELL have established a demonstration line based on AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and a 4-Way Automatic Shuttle System, marking their official entry into the smart logistics automation market.

The two companies completed the final setup after two months of in-house testing and configuration starting at the end of June. The demonstration line was designed to showcase real-time scenarios for picking, loading, and transportation, and its performance was validated by representatives from some potential client companies.

The core technology, AMR, unlike traditional AGVs, can autonomously search for and move along the optimal route without any preset path, enabling smooth autonomous navigation even in complex environments. It is considered optimized for logistics and manufacturing settings that require high-speed picking and handling of various SKUs. In addition, the 4-Way Automatic Shuttle, which can move freely both horizontally and vertically, is regarded as next-generation automation equipment that dramatically increases space utilization and processing efficiency compared to conventional 2-Way systems.

The construction of this demonstration line was further enhanced by cooperation with existing MOU partners. HURIMROBOT collaborated with OMARK to develop a heavy-duty, special-purpose AMR, and with EHO to produce a heavy-duty 4-Way Shuttle. Autonomous driving products from HURIMROBOT's partner, Twini, were also demonstrated. The demonstration line is located in a dedicated showroom (approximately 330 square meters) at EQCELL's Gumi factory and can be viewed upon request.

The two companies are confident in the technological completeness and price competitiveness of their equipment, and they emphasize their differentiated strengths in customer-tailored optimization and rapid deployment capabilities. Currently, the sales process is in full swing, including actual client visits, technical validation, and the provision of customized proposals.

Kim Bonggwan, CEO, stated, "The establishment of this demonstration line is more than a simple technology showcase; it is a milestone proving that domestically developed automation solutions are ready for field deployment," adding, "We aim to become an integrated robotics platform company that responds to the complex demands of smart logistics and manufacturing."

Going forward, HURIMROBOT and EQCELL plan to expand their business beyond AMR and shuttle-based automated warehouse solutions to include AI-integrated control, simulation-based design, and energy-saving technologies, ultimately building a smart factory-logistics integrated platform.
