The South Korea-U.S. summit between President Lee Jaemyung and U.S. President Donald Trump will begin at 12:15 p.m. Eastern Time on the 25th. This corresponds to 1:15 a.m. on the 26th in Korean time.

The White House announced in its official schedule released on the 24th (local time) that President Trump will welcome President Lee at the White House at 12:00 p.m. on the 25th, after which the summit will immediately take place in the Oval Office. This meeting is expected to last about 30 minutes and will be open to the White House press pool.


The summit will begin with opening remarks from both leaders, followed by a Q&A session with the press. President Trump will select which reporters to take questions from, and this process will be broadcast live.


Afterwards, the two leaders will move to the White House Cabinet Room at 12:45 p.m. for a luncheon meeting. This session will be held privately. No separate announcement has been made regarding a joint press conference.
