Three-Day Event to Be Held from September 16 to 18
On August 25, Seoul Shilla Hotel announced that it will invite Chef Toshikatsu Aoki, the owner-chef of "Sushi Aoki," a renowned sushi restaurant representing the Ginza district of Tokyo, Japan, to its signature all-day dining restaurant "The Parkview" to present authentic sushi.
The Sushi Aoki Chef Invitation Promotion has received high praise from customers every year since it began in 2012.
Sushi Aoki is a Japanese sushi restaurant that has been serving authentic Edomae sushi for two generations. It is recognized as one of the best establishments in Ginza, where many high-end sushi restaurants are located. Edomae sushi is a technique that originated during the Edo period (1603-1867), characterized by hand-formed sushi that features a harmonious blend of the texture and tenderness of aged fish.
Shilla Hotel will hold the promotion for three days, from September 16 to 18. A total of 11 gourmet dishes will be presented, including seven varieties of Chef Aoki's signature sushi made with seasonal ingredients and four types of kobachi (small Japanese side dishes).
This year, new menu items featuring innovative techniques will be introduced, such as ▲Steamed Hairtail Sushi ▲Sweet Shrimp Sushi marinated in kelp ▲Sushi made with lightly pickled gizzard shad, as well as dishes like ▲"Flounder Fin, Shine Muscat, and Salted Ponzu" using flounder and Shine Muscat grapes ▲and "Braised Conger Eel with Yuzu Aroma" made with conger eel and yuzu salt.
Additionally, autumn delicacies will be featured using seasonal ingredients such as ▲striped jack ▲gizzard shad ▲hairtail ▲flounder. Four kobachi items, including ▲stuffed baby squid sushi ▲and steamed hairtail sushi with salt, will be introduced for the first time at The Parkview during this promotion.
To commemorate this promotion, The Parkview will also offer a "Special Highball." Hyunseong Cho, mixologist at Seoul Shilla Hotel's lounge & bar "The Library," recommends and pairs a sake-based highball that complements Japanese cuisine.
Reservations can be made through the Seoul Shilla Hotel website or mobile app.
