Seo-gu District of Gwangju Metropolitan City participated as a partner organization in the "Hana JOB Matching Festa in Gwangju," hosted by Hana Financial Group at Kim Daejung Convention Center on the 19th.

This event was organized to provide tailored job opportunities for middle-aged individuals in their 40s to 60s and to support the reemployment of experienced professionals. A total of 55 companies, including Sama Transportation, Honam Shani, and KTC, participated, drawing about 400 job seekers and demonstrating strong interest.

Various side events were also held on-site, including the provision of employment information, makeup services for job seekers, startup consulting, and mini-lectures on AI-based career exploration, all of which received an enthusiastic response from attendees.

The "Hana JOB Matching Festa" is scheduled to be held five times, starting in Incheon in June and continuing through Seoul in November, with Gwangju serving as the third host city. Local organizations such as the Bitgoeul 50+ Center, Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Center, and other regional employment-related institutions also participated as partners in the Gwangju event, reaffirming the community's interest in jobs for the middle-aged.

Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu District Office, stated, "It was a meaningful occasion where the public sector and large corporations joined hands to create reliable jobs for the middle-aged," and added, "We will continue our efforts to realize social value and promote mutual growth."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu holds regular job fairs every year. Last year, 43 job seekers found new employment, and in the first half of this year, 16 people secured new jobs. The district is also leading efforts to provide stable employment foundations for residents through activities such as job seeker and employer meetings and the expansion of the Seo-gu Job Center.
