On the 21st, Gwangju and Jeonnam will continue to experience heat waves, with daytime temperatures rising to around 35 degrees Celsius. Scattered showers, along with thunder and lightning, are forecasted for some areas.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will be on the edge of a high-pressure system located over the southern seas of Japan. Expected precipitation ranges from 5 to 40 millimeters, and some areas may experience thunder and lightning.
Morning lows will range from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will reach 32 to 35 degrees Celsius. Waves in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters will be around 1 meter high, and ultrafine dust concentrations will remain at a "good" level.
An official from the Meteorological Administration advised, "In areas where showers occur, thunder and lightning are possible. Please pay attention to facility management and be cautious to prevent safety accidents."
