Expanding Overseas Markets for Local Startups
Strengthening the Foundation for Global Cooperation
Ulsan's Ulju County and Ulsan Technopark (hereafter Ulsan TP) will participate in 'InnoEX 2025,' which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 19 to 23, to help local startups develop new overseas markets.
'InnoEX 2025' is Southeast Asia's largest innovation exhibition, attracting over 260 companies from 60 countries and more than 30,000 participants worldwide. Under the theme "Shaping the Future Economy: From Data to Digital Assets," the event brings together global corporations, investors, and startups to share strategies for future industries.
Five startups from Ulju County will take part in the event: Future Health Corporation (AIOT senior devices and medical assistive products), CEBB Science (graphene composites for environmental and energy applications), Babe (smart feces board based on microbial carriers), Korea Goseo ENG (eco-friendly non-combustible wall coating using tangerine peels), and Gana ENT (precious metal recovery devices for used batteries).
The participating companies will engage in a variety of programs, including one-on-one export consultations with buyers, networking with local startups and related organizations, and investment networking. They also plan to seek tangible export results and cooperation opportunities through official events such as IR pitching, business forums, and investment gala dinners.
Ulsan TP will provide tailored support for participating companies, including translation and production of promotional materials, on-site interpretation, and consultation matching.
A representative from Ulsan TP stated, "This program to enter the Vietnamese market is meaningful not only for achieving short-term export results but also for establishing a foundation for long-term global cooperation and enhancing the overseas market competitiveness of technology startups in Ulju County. Based on local networks and market analysis, we plan to support sustainable global expansion."
As part of the 'Ulju County Technology Startup Ecosystem Support Project,' Ulju County is investing 700 million won from the county budget to foster local startups by providing startup incubation space, supporting technology development, and assisting with market development and commercialization.
