Samsung Unveils Cost-Effective Galaxy Buds3 FE with AI and Noise Cancelling, Launching This Month

On August 19, Samsung Electronics unveiled the cost-effective true wireless earbuds (TWS) 'Galaxy Buds3 FE', featuring artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and active noise canceling.

The newly released Galaxy Buds3 FE incorporates the user experience of the existing Galaxy Buds3 series. It features the blade design of the Galaxy Buds3 series and supports enhanced audio performance as well as Galaxy AI features.

The Galaxy Buds3 FE are tuned to deliver rich sound with deep bass and clear treble. In addition, they support improved Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality to reduce ambient noise. With ANC, external sounds are blocked, allowing users to enjoy an immersive audio experience.

The microphone placement has also been optimized to enhance sound pickup quality. Based on a machine learning model, the device delivers the user's voice clearly to the other party, ensuring smooth calls even when using the Buds3 FE.

The controls are intuitive as well. Users can perform simple gestures, such as swiping up or down on the blade or pinching with their fingers, to access functions like volume control. Features such as volume adjustment and skipping to the next track can be customized by the user.

Connecting to Galaxy devices such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs is also easy using the pairing button on the case. The 'Auto Switch' feature automatically switches the connection between Galaxy products and the Galaxy Buds3 FE. For example, if a user is using a Galaxy smartphone and then plays content on a Galaxy Book, the Buds3 FE will automatically connect to the Galaxy Book.

The Buds3 FE also supports a variety of AI features. Users can say commands like "Hey Google" or press and hold the blade to summon Gemini, allowing them to check their schedule, messages, and more via Gemini without taking out their smartphone.

The voice translation feature supported by the Galaxy Buds3 series is also available. After connecting to a Galaxy smartphone, users can activate the "Listening Mode" in the translation app to listen to lectures conducted in foreign languages in real time in their own language. The "Conversation Mode" can also be used for convenient communication with foreigners.

The Galaxy Buds3 FE will be released sequentially worldwide starting August 5 in the United States and Europe, and is scheduled to launch in Korea in September. The U.S. launch price is set at $149.99 (approximately 208,000 KRW), while the price for the Korean market has not yet been determined. The earbuds will be available in two colors: black and gray.
