On-Site Response Teams, Customized Consulting, and Strengthened Communication Networks for Close Support
Mayor Park Seungwon: "Enhancing Economic Vitality in Line with National Policy Initiatives"
Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is launching a field-oriented support system for business activities.
On August 19, Gwangmyeong City announced the full-scale implementation of "GieopOn (On) Gwangmyeong," its integrated brand for supporting corporate growth.
"GieopOn Gwangmyeong" is a policy support system that strengthens the connection between the city’s various business support policies, with a focus on continuous, field-based assistance.
Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seungwon stated, "'GieopOn Gwangmyeong' is designed to provide comprehensive support for the challenges faced by businesses, in alignment with the five major economic policy tasks of the Lee Jaemyung administration. We aim to revitalize the local economy and strengthen the industrial ecosystem, working together with businesses to shape the future of our city."
The city will operate "GieopOn Gwangmyeong" based on three main strategies, with the goal of becoming a key hub city in the southwestern metropolitan area: operating the Corporate SOS Field Response Team, providing customized consulting, and strengthening communication networks with businesses.
The "Corporate SOS Field Response Team" is a rapid response system that visits business sites within five days of receiving reports of difficulties such as tax arrears, regulations, or funding issues, and proposes solutions on-site. In addition, the city will link with Gyeonggi Province's new "Corporate Ombudsman Field Consulting" initiative, in which experts in each field provide consulting and follow-up measures to ensure tangible improvements.
The city is also focusing on strengthening communication channels with businesses. By holding quarterly meetings and operating industry-specific networks, the city will listen to business opinions and reflect them in policy, establishing a tailored support system that businesses can truly feel.
The city plans to discover new policy initiatives based on the difficulties and suggestions of businesses, spread best practices, and further solidify its foundation as a business-friendly city.
