A video showing a soldier reserving a parking spot at an administrative welfare center in Gyeonggi Province has gone viral. In the footage, a soldier in uniform is seen standing in an empty parking space, holding what appears to be an officer’s notebook, and signaling to passing drivers to park elsewhere.

Recently, several online communities and social networking services (SNS) have posted a video reportedly filmed at an administrative welfare center parking lot in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. In the video, a man believed to be a soldier is seen waving his hand as a car approaches, as if indicating that parking is not allowed.

Notably, some viewers speculated that the man was standing there in advance to reserve the spot for an officer’s vehicle, as he was holding what appeared to be an officer’s notebook in his left hand. The area is home to Camp Humphreys, a U.S. Army base relocated from Yongsan.

Online commenters reacted by saying, "He’s not a human rubber cone, what is this?", "Did they send him to the army just to guard parking spots?", and "I feel bad seeing him standing under the blazing sun."
