Elderly Man in His 80s Found Dead While Working in Namhae Orchard ... Authorities Investigate Possible Heat-Related Illness

At around 4 p.m. on August 18, an elderly man in his 80s was found dead while working alone in an apple orchard in Seomyeon, Namhae County, South Gyeongsang Province.

According to Namhae Police Station and other authorities, the man lost consciousness and collapsed while working in the field, and subsequently passed away at the scene.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of death, including the possibility of an underlying illness or a heat-related condition.
