Demonstrating Global Competitiveness

KOREATECH Sweeps All Categories at Hong Kong International Robotics Competition Students from Korea University of Technology and Education won gold, silver, and bronze medals in the university division logistics automation category at the '2025 Robogames Hong Kong' held over two days, from Saturday the 16th to Sunday the 17th, at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education.

Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH, President Yoo Gil-sang) demonstrated its presence on the global stage by achieving overwhelming results at an international robotics competition held in Hong Kong.

According to KOREATECH on August 18, four teams (12 students) participated in the university division logistics automation category (Logistics 2 - Block Sorting) at the '2025 Robogames Hong Kong', which took place at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education from August 16 to 17, and all teams achieved perfect scores of 100 points.

When teams receive the same score, rankings are determined by completion time according to the competition rules. As a result, the Roborobo team (Seo Dongwook, Park Sanghyuk, Seo Heechan) won the gold medal, the Timirum team (Kim Yejin, Lee Seyoun, Gil Hyunseo) won the silver medal, and the Nayameka team (Lee Hyungseo, Kim Yoonki, Kim Hyunsoo) and the KOREATECH Bae team (Jung Hyunwook, Kim Hoyoung, Lee Kanghyun) each won bronze medals.

This event was hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and co-organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and WETD Robotics. A total of 212 teams and 296 participants from three countries-Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan-competed fiercely across eight categories.

Meanwhile, KOREATECH further solidified its position as a leading university in the field of robotics engineering by achieving international success following its wins at last year's domestic WCRC robotics competition, where it received the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Award, and the Administrator of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards Award.
