A Variety of Water Activities and Cultural Performances
On August 18, the city of Ansan in Gyeonggi Province announced that the large-scale urban water festival, 'Ansan Summer Festa 2025', held during the Liberation Day holiday on August 15 and 16, was a great success, attracting around 100,000 citizens and tourists.

This festival, planned for the first time by the city this year, is a new type of integrated cultural event where people can enjoy both water activities and cultural performances right in the heart of the city.
The festival featured a variety of attractions, including water activities, performances, and hands-on events. During the day, there were large water slides, pools, and water gun fights. At night, the festivities continued with a plaza club featuring water cannons, performances by young artists, university student busking, and concerts by popular singers.
The event venue also offered various experiential programs, such as a water play zone for children and a water conservation campaign.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "Ansan Summer Festa is a new summer festival where the passion of youth and the vitality of citizens come together in the city, and it will serve as an opportunity to invigorate the local economy. We will continue to develop programs that satisfy our citizens and make this festival a signature summer event for Ansan."
