Over 30 Health Supplements and 30 Beauty Products
Expansion of Small-Sized, Value-for-Money Items
Specialty Displays to Launch in 500 Stores Nationwide Starting in September
GS25, the convenience store chain operated by GS Retail, announced on August 18 that it will introduce "category killer-type specialty displays" to strategically develop its health and beauty product segment.
Starting next month, GS25 will select around 500 stores with high sales growth potential and install specialized displays dedicated to health and beauty products. Stores will be chosen based on data analysis, including location type, generational customer composition, and sales trends of related products. The specialty displays are designed with a modular structure, allowing for flexible product assortments tailored to store size, commercial area, and customer base.

The health category specialty display will offer products developed in collaboration with major pharmaceutical companies such as Samjin Pharmaceutical and Chong Kun Dang, as well as health food specialists. Over 30 types of health supplements-including vitamins, probiotics, omega-3, and liver health products-will be available in small packages suitable for one week to one month. In addition, around 40 health-oriented products, including dual-formulation (liquid + tablet) items and hangover relief products, will also be sold.
The beauty category specialty display targets female customers in their teens and twenties, offering over 30 types of color and basic cosmetics at an average price point in the 3,000 won range. These specialty displays will be equipped with mirrors and testers so that customers can try the products in-store. Collaborative products with Musinsa's makeup brand "WHIZZY," as well as Son & Park's Hearty Lip & Cheek and eyebrow products, have each seen sales increase by more than 300% in the past week compared to their initial launch period.
GS25 plans to further maximize category expertise by strengthening advertising and promotional functions, expanding the number of SKUs (stock-keeping units), and enhancing brand collaboration synergies.
Kwon Soonbaek, Manager of the New Format Operations Team at GS Retail, stated, "GS25 is evolving beyond a simple place of purchase to become a content platform that reflects customers' lifestyles and preferences. The category killer-type content, planned through close collaboration with the Life Living Team MD department responsible for health and beauty, will be a key milestone for GS25 in establishing itself as a 'lifestyle hub right in your neighborhood,' offering convenience and enjoyment across all aspects of daily life."
