Honoring the Spirit of Liberation and National Pride

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Nam-Il Lee) displayed a large Taegeukgi banner on the exterior wall of its building and held a photo exhibition on the history of the Taegeukgi, reflecting on the significance of liberation.

Throughout this month, the office installed the large Taegeukgi banner on the exterior wall of its building. The purpose is to revive the spirit of independence and the cry for freedom, while also fostering a deeper love for the nation.

The banner was placed in a highly visible location so that not only visitors but also nearby office workers could naturally experience the historical significance of liberation.

On the second floor atrium of the building, a "Taegeukgi History Photo Exhibition" was also organized. The exhibition clearly presents the footsteps of patriotic ancestors, including the March 1st Movement, the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, and the activities of the Korean Liberation Army.

Nam-Il Lee, Director of the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office, stated, "Liberation Day is a day to reflect on the historical significance of the freedom and independence achieved by our people," adding, "I hope this serves as an opportunity to remember and honor the sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to the nation."
