At around 3:44 p.m. on August 13, a fire broke out on the third floor of an apartment in Hoewon-dong, Masanhwoegu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
After receiving a report that black smoke was coming from a third-floor window, fire authorities dispatched 58 personnel and 21 pieces of equipment to the scene and extinguished the fire completely by around 4:19 p.m.
As a result of the fire, nine residents suffered minor injuries, such as smoke inhalation, and seven of them were transported to the hospital.
The fire authorities and police plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
