The Evening Glow Art Museum in Shinan County, South Jeolla Province, will host the special exhibition '4 People Ink Color: Capturing Namdo' from August 14 to October 19, 2025, in celebration of the 2025 Jeonnam International Ink Biennale.

This exhibition features artists Park Sukyung, Cho Yongbaek, Cho Pungnyu, and Choi Sunyeong. All four are established artists originally from Shinan and Mokpo who are actively working in the region. They will present 22 Korean paintings that depict the sea, landscapes, and everyday scenes of Namdo, each interpreted through their unique perspectives and techniques.

In particular, the exhibition highlights the aesthetics and boundless potential of Namdo ink painting through works that blend traditional ink techniques with contemporary reinterpretations. Through painterly experiments that harmonize ink and color, visitors will be able to experience the landscapes and sentiments of Namdo in a new way.

On August 12, Kim Daein, Acting Governor of Shinan County, stated, "The works of these four artists are a valuable record that both preserve the spirit of Namdo and expand the possibilities of ink painting. I hope many people will experience the time and scenery of Namdo captured in these works and discover another charm of ink painting."
