A campaign to eradicate illegal garbage dumping has been launched to establish basic order and create a cleaner city.
On August 12, Sejong City and the Sejong Police Agency conducted a joint crackdown on illegal garbage dumping and carried out a prevention campaign in the area around the Sodam Intersection.
On this day, the city administration and the police promoted the importance of adhering to basic order and eradicating illegal garbage dumping to citizens. They also announced plans to continue regular environmental cleanup activities through November this year.
In particular, joint crackdowns will focus on major commercial areas in Naseong-dong and Dodam-dong, single-family residential areas in Hansol-dong and Areum-dong, and areas in Jochiwon-eup and other townships where illegal dumping frequently occurs, with the goal of creating a cleaner city.
Kwon Youngseok, Director of the Environmental Greenery Bureau, stated, "The campaign and crackdowns are aimed at creating a clean and orderly urban environment, and we expect their effectiveness to increase through public cooperation. We ask for your active participation and adherence to basic order for a pleasant city."
