On August 12, KakaoPay announced that it has introduced a feature allowing users to check and use offline store vouchers received through 'KakaoTalk Gift' directly from the payment screen.

This feature reduces the steps required to find gifted vouchers or pay additional amounts, making the 'Gift' service more convenient to use.
By integrating mobile vouchers as a payment method alongside KakaoPay Money (prepaid balance), credit cards, and debit cards, KakaoPay has expanded both the convenience and range of benefits for offline payments.
Users can now enjoy a seamless payment experience using existing payment methods and gift vouchers from over 640 brands, as well as access various benefits such as Good Deal, Kko.Kko.Pay, KakaoPay's flagship discount programs, KakaoPay Points accumulation, and automatic membership rewards?all within the KakaoPay app, without needing to switch between apps.
The new feature can be used on the latest version of the KakaoPay application and on KakaoPay Home within KakaoTalk by selecting 'Gift Box' at the top of the payment tab or 'Gifts Received on KakaoTalk' among the payment methods at the bottom of the payment screen.
Once users complete the initial consent for providing personal information, they can view all offline store vouchers received via KakaoTalk Gift at once.
Vouchers can be used even at stores that do not accept KakaoPay payments, and if the store does accept KakaoPay, any additional payment can be made without switching apps.
The latest versions of the KakaoPay app and KakaoTalk will be rolled out sequentially to some users starting from August 11.
A KakaoPay representative stated, "We have developed this service so that users can experience KakaoPay’s smooth payment process and benefits even when using gift vouchers offline," adding, "By breaking down the barriers between payment methods and benefits, we will continue to evolve into the most convenient and widely used offline payment service."
