20 Employees from Four Daegu Public Corporations Work Hard on Flood Recovery in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam

Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President: Jung Myungseop) announced on August 11 that it had carried out flood damage recovery support activities in Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam, on August 7.

This support effort was organized to help restore the affected area, which was declared a special disaster zone, as quickly as possible and to assist residents in returning to their daily lives. Four Daegu municipal corporations and organizations collaborated on the initiative.

Employees of four construction corporations in the Daegu area have recently been working hard on flood recovery efforts in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam, which recently experienced severe flooding.

On that day, around 20 employees from Daegu Urban Development Corporation, Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation, Daegu Transportation Corporation, and Daegu Agro-Fisheries Wholesale Market Corporation participated in on-site recovery work, including removing debris, repairing drainage systems, and organizing household items.

Daegu Urban Development Corporation, Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation, and Daegu Transportation Corporation each provided emergency relief supplies worth 1 million won per organization, totaling 3 million won, to residents in the affected area.

Jung Myungseop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, said, "I hope this joint volunteer activity by Daegu's public corporations and organizations has been of some help to stabilize the lives of residents in the affected area," and added, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation between organizations and faithfully fulfill our social responsibilities as a local public enterprise."

In addition to this flood recovery support, Daegu Urban Development Corporation has continued to engage in donations and volunteer activities whenever national disasters occur, including providing support and donations for wildfire victims in North Gyeongsang Province in 2025 and flood recovery assistance in Yecheon in 2023.
