Research Arum suggested on August 11 that by the end of this month, portfolios should be restructured across various asset classes to reduce risk and expand profit opportunities.

Choi Sunghwan, a researcher at Research Arum, explained, "The recent short-term surge in major global indices and the deepening concentration in certain sectors are increasing volatility in the capital markets," adding, "Diversified investment across various asset classes is required rather than a single, stock-focused portfolio."

He continued, "There is an outlook that the inflation caused by tariffs will be temporary," and added, "Given the sharp market rally so far, this could serve as a trigger for a correction, so a conservative diversification strategy will be effective starting at the end of this month."

He recommended investments in bonds, natural gas, and gold futures. Choi analyzed, "Bond investments can yield returns if President Donald Trump’s active calls for interest rate cuts in the United States materialize," and added, "Even at current levels, they provide stable interest income."

He further explained, "The spread of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and the construction of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) power plants are significantly increasing the potential demand for natural gas," and "The United States is expanding the proportion of exports while also increasing its natural gas production." He expects that, although there may be a supply surplus in the short term, the market will become demand-driven in the medium to long term.

Choi also emphasized, "Gold futures are a representative safe asset to hedge against geopolitical risks and inflation uncertainty," and "Copper futures are also securing medium- to long-term price growth momentum as an essential industrial metal for electric vehicles, renewable energy, and infrastructure investment."
