Recently, as park golf has become increasingly popular and demand has surged, there have been requests to establish a park golf course in the Sanghabuk-myeon area. Considering that it is difficult for seniors aged 65 and older and people with disabilities, who experience mobility challenges, to use outdoor fields, the Sanghabuk Comprehensive Social Welfare Center created this leisure and sports space for them.
Screen park golf allows people to enjoy park golf regardless of season or weather. It recreates actual park golf courses, so users can experience a round at Hwangsan Park Golf Course, Yangsan City's renowned venue, indoors. During the trial operation period throughout July, it was confirmed that the facility was very popular among local seniors and people with disabilities.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Na Dongyeon expressed his pleasure, saying, "I am glad that a leisure and sports space has been created for seniors and people with disabilities." One senior user commented, "It is difficult to exercise outdoors, so I am grateful for this indoor environment. I expect it will greatly benefit my health, and I am looking forward to using it."
