Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President Jung Myungseop) announced on August 8 that it received an “Excellent” grade (“B” grade), one level higher than the previous year, in the 2025 (2024 performance) local public enterprise management evaluation.
This year’s management evaluation, conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for 281 local public enterprises, placed greater emphasis on “public interest” aspects such as low birth rates and regional extinction, as well as “efficiency” through the improvement of management systems via digital innovation management.
Daegu Urban Development Corporation stated that it received high marks not only in management systems?including strategic financial management to balance profitability and public interest, and efforts to introduce and operate job-centered HR management?but also in social responsibility through regional win-win cooperation, such as revitalizing the local economy by actively attracting corporate investment to industrial complexes and operating a win-win growth fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.
This year, the corporation is striving to faithfully fulfill its fundamental role as a local public enterprise by steadily promoting ongoing and new projects such as the creation of Daegu Grand Park and the development of the Second Suseong Alpha City, as well as strengthening disaster safety management, creating jobs, and pursuing eco-friendly carbon neutrality through an organic cooperation system involving the public and private sectors. On August 7, the corporation also participated in flood recovery support activities in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam?a special disaster area due to heavy rainfall?in collaboration with Daegu City’s public corporations, among various other activities contributing to the local community.
Jung Myungseop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, stated, “We will continue to strengthen our social responsibility and do our utmost to deliver results that citizens can truly feel through ongoing innovation.”
