Gachon University has received an S grade for the third consecutive year in the University Innovation Support Project evaluation.
On August 7, Gachon University announced that it had received the highest grade, S, in the "2025 University Innovation Support Project Performance Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
With this top rating, Gachon University secured a total of approximately 11.13 billion won in University Innovation Support Project funding, including incentives.
The University Innovation Support Project is a major government funding initiative designed to support universities' autonomous innovation and structural improvement. A total of 138 universities nationwide, including 60 universities in the Seoul metropolitan area, are participating in this project.
This performance evaluation was based on two areas: educational innovation outcomes and internal performance management. Gachon University received high marks in both its educational innovation strategies and their implementation.
Gachon University has enhanced students' career planning capabilities by operating programs that provide early major exploration and intensive support even before admission for students entering under the major self-selection system. In addition, the university was recognized as an exemplary case for offering customized career guidance that reflects students' aptitudes and characteristics to all enrolled students, and for systematically operating these programs according to annual implementation plans.
Lee Gil-ya, President of Gachon University, stated, "Gachon University has continuously pursued educational innovation through student-centered, flexible academic systems and tailored career planning support," and added, "Based on these results, we will continue to advance creative and innovative educational programs and take the lead in nurturing key talent to drive the future."
