On August 5 (local time), the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Pitt bought the house from Dave Keuning, the guitarist of the famous American rock band The Killers, and his wife. The Keuning couple put the property on the market in June. It is known that they purchased the house in 2021 from Joel Simkhai, the founder of the dating application Grindr, for $9.6 million (approximately 13.3 billion KRW).

The property was built around 1989 and is located in a complex called Outpost Estates, one of the residential areas in Hollywood Hills, LA. According to WSJ, the house has a floor area of 779 square meters, features six bedrooms, and offers sweeping views not only of the city but also of the Pacific Ocean.

Previously, in 2023, Pitt sold his longtime residence in the Los Feliz area of LA for $33 million (approximately 45.8 billion KRW). This house was where he lived with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children before their divorce. At that time, it was reported that after purchasing his first house, Pitt acquired around 20 more neighboring properties to create a large estate.

In the same year, Pitt also purchased another house in the Los Feliz area for $5.5 million (approximately 760 million KRW). In 2022, he bought a property in the Carmel Highlands complex in the Monterey area for $40 million (approximately 5.56 billion KRW).

Meanwhile, in June, there were reports of a burglary at his LA residence. Although the police did not officially confirm that the house belonged to Pitt, media outlets reported that the address of the affected property matched the house Pitt purchased in 2023. At the time of the incident, Pitt was reportedly away from home, attending various promotional events for the film "F1 The Movie," which had recently premiered in several regions around the world.
