Ko Yohan Wins First Place with
"Kyungnam University Captured by Drone"
Kyungnam University held the awards ceremony for the "2025 Promotional Video Contest" in the main building's small conference room on August 5.
This contest was held for the first time this year to foster students' creative content production skills, secure digital promotional content suitable for the short-form era, and promote the university through SNS.
A total of 24 entries, each showcasing students' fresh perspectives and visually appealing video techniques, were submitted. After a fair evaluation by the judging panel, five works were selected as winners.
The top prize was awarded to Ko Yohan (senior, Department of Digital Performance and Video) for "Kyungnam University Captured by Drone." Ko Yohan used a drone to uniquely capture various locations and iconic buildings of the Kyungnam University campus, including Wollyeongji and the Metasequoia Road, from multiple angles. The campus is renowned as one of the "Top 10 Most Beautiful University Campuses in Korea."
The second prize went to the team led by Bae Jiweon (junior, Department of Music Education) for "The Upperclassmen You Will Meet When You Enter the Department of Music Education." Third prizes were awarded to the team led by Kim Jibin (freshman, Department of Media and Video) for "Introduction to Major Buildings and Locations on Campus," the team led by Kim Bomin (sophomore, Department of Music Education) for "What the Department of Music Education Can Do at the Sports Festival," and the team led by Kim Minseong (junior, Department of Media and Video) for "Kyungnam University Educational Broadcasting Station KUBS Promotional Video." The winning entries will be released sequentially on the university's official SNS channels.
Ko Hoseok, Vice President for External Affairs, said, "Through the works that reflect the individuality and sensibility of our students, various aspects of Kyungnam University have been newly highlighted. We will continue to support students' creative content production and promotional activities in the future."
