Approximately 80 people attended the event, including Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jinseon, National Assemblyman Kim Seongyo, Yangpyeong County Council Vice Chairperson Oh Hyeja, Gyeonggi Provincial Council members Park Myeongsuk and Lee Hyewon, Yangpyeong Fire Station Chief Lee Junhee, related officials, and local residents. Together, they celebrated this meaningful achievement for regional safety.

This installation of the "Yangpyeong-Type Fire Hydrant No. 2" follows the first Yangpyeong-Type Fire Hydrant installed last year in Myeongdalli, Seojong-myeon, and was promoted as a proactive measure to strengthen fire response capabilities in areas not supplied with municipal water.

Yangpyeong County, reflecting the local conditions where securing firefighting water for initial fire suppression is difficult, developed an underground water source with a daily capacity of 30 tons and installed a hydrant equipped with storage and supply facilities for firefighting water sufficient for six fire trucks.

In particular, this hydrant is a regionally customized safety facility designed to be used as agricultural water in emergencies such as drought. It provides an emergency water supply base for rural and mountainous areas lacking a municipal water supply, thus establishing a practical disaster response system.

Meanwhile, Yangpyeong Fire Station (Chief Lee Junhee) stated that the installation of this hydrant will play an important role in eliminating blind spots in fire response, and that the fire station will continue to closely cooperate with related agencies to do its utmost in creating a safe environment where residents can live with peace of mind.

Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jinseon said, "The Yangpyeong-Type Fire Hydrant is more than just a facility; it is a solid foundation that provides real support in protecting the lives and property of local residents. Moving forward, Yangpyeong County will continue to expand fire response infrastructure, especially in areas not supplied with municipal water, to create a safe and attractive Yangpyeong for everyone."

Furthermore, Yangpyeong County plans to continue prioritizing the safety of its residents and will accelerate efforts to establish effective, regionally customized safety infrastructure.
