As Part of East Asian Cultural City Exchange,
Eight Youths Participate from August 4 to 7
On August 4, the city of Anseong in Gyeonggi Province announced that eight local youths would participate in the "Youth Cultural Exploration" event held in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, from August 4 to August 7. This event is part of a youth exchange program among East Asian Cultural Cities in Korea, China, and Japan.

Approximately 30 youths from three cities designated as East Asian Cultural Cities?including Anseong, Macau in China, and Kamakura in Japan?are joining the exploration. The participants will engage in various experiential programs at the "Shangqi Yutang Research Experience Camp" in Huzhou, such as brush making, pearl cultivation, traditional tea culture, and visits to cultural landmarks, fostering cultural exchange.
The Anseong delegation consists of eight youths selected from eight middle schools in the region, including Myeongnyun Girls' Middle School, Anseong Middle School, Ancheong Middle School, Yangseong Middle School, and Iljuk Middle School, as well as two supervisors, including a scholarship officer and a teacher.
Following the Huzhou exploration, the city will host the "Korea-China-Japan Anseongmat-Chum Youth Camp" from August 7 to August 10.
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, stated, "This cultural exploration is a valuable opportunity for future global talents to develop international perspectives and to promote Anseong to the world," adding, "We will continue to expand international cultural exchanges so that our youths can grow with pride as 'Anseong Ambassadors.'"
