Cocone and Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Establish Streamlined System for Foreign Insurance Application Document Registration

On August 4, Cocone, a subsidiary of Webcash, announced that it is providing the 'We-Check' service to Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance.

We-Check is a service that allows users to view and submit public institution certificates in real time via mobile devices without the need to install a separate application. Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has also implemented the 'Certificate of Alien Registration Verification' application programming interface (API) in this service. This has improved both customer convenience and the efficiency of internal review processes.

With the introduction of this service, customers no longer need to issue and scan certificates during the insurance enrollment process. By simply completing identity verification through a link sent via Alimtalk, the required documents are automatically submitted. As a result, the internal review process within the insurance company is also expedited.

Recently, the insurance industry has been pursuing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management. Through this service, Cocone aims to support the digitalization of new insurance contract application document registration and ensure the integrity of review systems, thereby contributing to the realization of ESG management for insurance companies.

Kim Jonghyun, CEO of Cocone, stated, "This is a case of digital transformation that not only enhances customer experience but also innovates internal business processes for insurance companies," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our role as a data platform that supports business innovation and ESG management by collaborating with various financial institutions."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has previously adopted Cocone's API services for purposes such as Supreme Court certificate viewing (including family relation certificates), healthcare packages, and automobile specification inquiries, in addition to the Certificate of Alien Registration Verification API.
