Paju Pay Application Rate Surpasses Credit Cards

The "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon" is a government policy initiative designed to stabilize the livelihoods of ordinary citizens and support the revitalization of local consumption.
In particular, Paju City reported that the application rate for "local currency (Paju Pay)" was 51.3%, which is higher than the application rate for credit and debit cards (48.7%). This figure is more than double the average local currency application rate in the province, which stands at 21.9%, and shows a clear difference from other cities and counties where credit and debit card applications are generally more common.
This indicates the high level of trust and convenience that citizens associate with Paju Pay, and is also seen as a positive indicator suggesting that local consumption will be boosted and new customers will be drawn into neighborhood businesses.
Paju Mayor Kim Kyoungil stated, "The high application rate of over 90% is thanks to the interest and cooperation of our citizens," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that every last applicant receives their coupon quickly and without any issues."
Meanwhile, the first round of payments for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon will be completed by September 12, with the second round scheduled from September 22 to October 31. The coupons can be used until November 30.
