KleanNara Distributes Cooling Towels to Employees at Cheongju Plant

Excellent Breathability with 100% Bamboo Fiber

On August 4, KleanNara announced that it had distributed 2,000 "KleanNara Cooling Towels" to employees at its Cheongju plant to prevent heat-related illnesses caused by summer heat waves and to create a comfortable working environment for its staff.

The cooling towels distributed this time are a product that KleanNara launched last April targeting the summer heat. They provide a powerful cooling effect by lowering skin temperature by approximately 9 degrees Celsius upon contact. Thanks to their excellent cooling function, they can be used effectively in various situations such as outdoor activities, exercise, and camping.

The cooling towels are individually packaged for hygienic use and are easy to carry, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor work environments. Made from 100% bamboo fiber mesh fabric, they offer a soft texture and excellent breathability. The towels are also infused with essence-type hyaluronic acid, which helps maintain moisture for up to 10 hours after use.

The KleanNara Cheongju plant is a large-scale manufacturing facility where paper and hygiene product production lines are in operation. Especially during the summer, the combination of machine heat and the characteristics of the work environment significantly raises the perceived temperature.

Accordingly, in addition to distributing cooling towels, KleanNara has implemented various heat wave countermeasures. These include a text alert service for workers when the perceived temperature is forecasted to exceed 33 degrees Celsius, installation and real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity meters, establishment of a real-time response system through on-site inspections by safety and health managers, installation of air coolers and large fans in the workplace, provision of refrigerated beverages, and flexible operation of break times.

A KleanNara representative stated, "As heat waves are becoming a daily occurrence due to climate change, the most important thing is the health and safety of our employees," adding, "Going forward, KleanNara will continue to create a better working environment through practical welfare and safety management measures, rather than one-off efforts."
