According to a live broadcast by NASA and SpaceX, at 11:44 a.m. Eastern Time on the 1st, a Falcon 9 rocket carrying SpaceX's Dragon capsule was successfully launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The first-stage rocket booster separated from the second-stage spacecraft after about 2 minutes and 40 seconds, then descended smoothly and landed on the ground. About 9 minutes after launch, the Dragon capsule entered its designated orbit.

This mission included NASA astronauts Jeanette Epps and Michael Fincke, Kimiya Yui from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and Oleg Platonov from the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos). The crew size on the ISS temporarily increased to 11. SpaceX plans to bring the astronauts being replaced back to Earth as early as the 6th.

The astronauts who arrived at the ISS this time are expected to stay at the station for at least six months, conducting various scientific experiments and research before returning. They will also participate in experiments such as a lunar south pole landing scenario, which is part of the United States-led Artemis crewed lunar exploration project.
