Chairman Cho Wonhui of Daejeon City Council Promises Support to Enhance Citizens' Cultural Enjoyment Rights

On August 1, Daejeon City Council Chairman Cho Wonhui attended the 1st Music Talk Show of 2025, held at Eungubi Park in Yuseong-gu, and stated, "The music-only performance hall, which is being promoted with the goal of completion in 2032 and will cover approximately 12,700 pyeong, is expected to further expand citizens' opportunities for cultural and artistic experiences, such as providing good music and wonderful performances."

He further emphasized, "Daejeon City Council will do its utmost to fulfill its role by thoroughly reviewing related administrative procedures and securing the necessary budget so that this project can proceed without any setbacks."

The Music Talk Show, which is being held for the first time this year, will take place a total of seven times in various local districts until the end of the year. At today's inaugural event, about 400 people, including heads of local institutions and organizations, local artists, and citizens, attended as representatives of the region.

The first part featured a classical music story with trumpeter Seong Jaechang and a brass decet, while the second part presented a jazz stage by singer Lim Jeonghee, allowing citizens to enjoy a summer night in the city with music.

Chairman Cho Wonhui said, "I find it meaningful that the Music Talk Show, being held for the first time this year, is taking place at Eungubi Park, where history, health, culture, and art coexist. With the participation of renowned musicians, the event has become even more enriching."
