Promotion of Integrated Platform for Demonstration and Adoption of Outstanding Private Sector Technologies
Seoul Facilities Corporation (Chairman Han Kyungyoung) is taking an active role in enhancing safety management on roads exclusively for automobiles by participating in the ‘Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Market’.
The ‘Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Market’ is a public technology certification platform overseen by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and operated by Korea Expressway Corporation. It allows public institutions to verify and adopt outstanding technologies from small and medium-sized enterprises, making it easier for these companies to enter the procurement market.

With Seoul Facilities Corporation joining the social overhead capital (SOC) consultative body, it is now able to utilize the relevant system. Technologies certified on this platform receive practical support, including simplified evaluation for designation as innovative products, priority in private contracts with public institutions, and additional points for SME support programs.
Since 2022, the corporation has been conducting pre-registration and demonstration of private sector technologies in the road sector through the ‘Technology Sharing Forum’, having received 33 technology submissions and carried out 7 on-site demonstrations to date. Notably, innovative technologies such as the ‘3D WEB-based Drone Integrated Control Platform’ have been practically applied to field inspections, including those at Cheongdam Bridge. Participation in the Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Market is an extension of these efforts toward practical application.
Going forward, the corporation plans to strengthen the connection between the Technology Sharing Forum and the Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Market, and to further advance the operation of demonstration and certification platforms, focusing on road facilities. In addition, for the safety management of aging road infrastructure, it is expanding scientific management through the implementation of a ‘data-based smart management system’, the operation of a ‘precision safety inspection team’, the use of smart equipment such as drones and thermal imaging cameras, and the operation of a ‘performance-based asset management system’.
Chairman Han Kyungyoung stated, “We will actively support the practical application of outstanding private sector technologies in the field,” adding, “We will continue to focus our capabilities on enhancing citizen safety and convenience.”
