On August 1, Gwangmyeong City announced that it would implement an automatic parking fee reduction service using a "non-face-to-face eligibility verification system" starting from that day.
This system automatically verifies the eligibility information of beneficiaries in real time by linking with the Administrative Information Sharing Center. Users who consent to the prior provision of personal information can receive the reduction benefits without submitting separate documents or requiring staff verification.
Citizens who wish to use the service must register as a member and apply for vehicle registration through the "Gwangmyeong Urban Corporation Parking Management System." However, duplicate reductions do not apply. Only one vehicle owned by the applicant can be registered, and the vehicle registration certificate must be attached. For more details, please refer to the Gwangmyeong Urban Corporation website.
Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong City, said, "We will continue to drive innovation in parking lots that citizens can truly experience by expanding various reduction programs and smart administrative infrastructure."
