"Nowon Star N" is a competition open to individuals or teams engaged in performing arts within Nowon District. Anyone can participate, regardless of genre, including vocal, dance, band, and choir. Last year, a workplace band club made up of 119 firefighters won the competition, highlighting the diverse backgrounds of the participants.

The competition will begin with first-round auditions over three days starting August 22, selecting 20 teams. The final round will take place on November 15, where the final rankings will be determined. Judging will combine evaluations from professional judges, votes from each team, and an audience panel, encouraging active communication and competition among all participants.

The 20 teams advancing to the finals will each receive a club activity support grant of 200,000 won. The first-place team will be awarded a prize of 1,500,000 won. The second and third place teams will receive 1,000,000 won and 500,000 won respectively, and the team with the highest audience evaluation score will receive an Audience Award with a prize of 300,000 won.

Notably, the teams that make it to the finals will be automatically included in next year's community culture club activity support program, ensuring continued opportunities for participation. The stage will be set at the Eunhaengnamu Hall in the Nowon Culture and Arts Center. Last year's participating teams have continued to be active this year at district festivals, events, and busking stages.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, stated, "I hope Nowon Star N becomes an opportunity for everyone, from young people to seniors, to come together through art and culture," adding, "We will work even harder to ensure that community culture flourishes throughout the district."
