The 2025 Marine Fisheries Expo will take place for three days from September 19 to 21 at the outdoor stage near Gyeongju Tower in Gyeongju Expo Grand Park. Those who register in advance on the official website will receive a small gift and free admission.
Now in its fourth year, the 2025 Marine Fisheries Expo will be held in Gyeongju to wish for the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit. It will integrate three marine and fisheries-related events?the Marine Fisheries Expo, the Haenyeo Culture Festival, and the Seafood Cuisine Competition?positioning itself as Korea's leading marine and fisheries expo. The event aims to present a vision for the future of North Gyeongsang's marine and fisheries industry and serve as a springboard for export growth.
Yang Joonhyuk, who was appointed as ambassador on this day, also plans to participate in various promotional activities, including appearing in promotional videos, holding a baseball autograph session for fans, and promoting the sale of premium seafood. He expressed his aspirations, saying, "I am now enjoying my second life as a fisherman after my baseball career, and I hope to play a part in advancing North Gyeongsang's marine and fisheries sector."
Choi Youngsook, head of the Pan-East Sea Regional Headquarters of North Gyeongsang Province, said, "I hope the 2025 Marine Fisheries Expo becomes an event where residents can enjoy together, and I wish participating companies the opportunity to expand their sales markets through product promotion." She added, "We will continue to implement various measures to ensure that North Gyeongsang's marine and fisheries sector plays a central role in ushering in the Pan-East Sea era."
