The newly appointed Youth Guidance Committee members are comprised of 3 to 4 individuals per region, and their term of office is three years.

The committee members are expected to carry out a variety of field-oriented activities, including providing guidance for healthy lifestyles among youth, conducting campaigns to improve harmful environments, participating in protection campaigns, and supporting the identification and assistance of youth in crisis.

With these new appointments, the city plans to further strengthen the foundation for youth protection activities and to continuously expand public-private cooperation to create a youth-friendly environment throughout the local community.

Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "I ask you to actively carry out youth protection activities with a sense of responsibility," and added, "Gwangju City will take the lead so that young people can grow up safely and happily."
