A program where children read science books and participate in various science activities based on the content of those books, together with reading instructors, is receiving a positive response.

Based on this concept, the Daejeon Tourism Organization will operate the '365 Kkumdori Science Book Master Season V' program for three months from August to October, focusing on small libraries throughout Daejeon.

In particular, the program will offer lectures and hands-on activities tailored to children's perspectives, providing local children with opportunities to experience science in an easier and more enjoyable way. The program will be held over a total of 11 sessions.

Participating children will read science books such as "How Many Stars Are There in the Sky?" and "The Largest Footprint on Earth." Afterward, they will be able to expand their scientific thinking by directly experiencing book-related activities, including making recycled astronomical telescopes, creating eco-friendly Oho water bottles, and making natural soap.

The program will tour small libraries across Daejeon, and participating children will receive science books and activity kits free of charge.

Yoon Seongguk, CEO of the Daejeon Tourism Organization, stated, "Science begins with curiosity before it becomes knowledge," and added, "I hope that the children's science experiences, which start in small libraries, will become the foundation for the region's scientific culture."
