of the Yeonggwang Nakwol Offshore Wind Power Project

The subsea cables shipped this time are for the internal network to be installed in the 'Yeonggwang Nakwol Offshore Wind Power Project,' which is being developed in the waters of Nakwol-myeon, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do. This shipment is particularly significant as it is the first mass-produced product from Dangjin Subsea 1 Plant, which was completed in June. Taihan Electric Wire is being recognized for proving its capability to stably produce and deliver subsea cables, a key component of offshore wind power projects, in a timely manner.

The shipment and installation of the internal network will take place in a total of three phases. Taihan Electric Wire began loading the initial batch of approximately 2,000 tons last week to align with the construction schedule of the offshore wind farm. The Palos, which loaded the first batch, is scheduled to be deployed to the site in early August to transport and install the subsea cables. The Palos is the only CLV (Cable Laying Vessel) in Korea and demonstrated its performance by completing the installation of the external network for the Yeonggwang Nakwol project in May and June.

On the day of shipment, Kim Sunkyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, visited the site to encourage employees and celebrate the successful first shipment. Chairman Kim told the employees on site, "Take pride in contributing to the development of the offshore wind power industry, which leads the future of energy, and to the stabilization of the supply chain," and emphasized, "We must supply flawless products to ensure the stability of the power grid."

He continued, "The health and safety of employees at the production and construction sites are the most important," and repeatedly stressed the importance of thoroughly adhering to safety regulations in all work processes as part of a site-centered safety management approach.
