Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to experience occasional cloudy weather along with continued heat and tropical nights. For the time being, Gwangju and Jeonnam will continue to see extreme heat, with the maximum perceived temperature remaining above 35 degrees Celsius.


According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on July 30, the minimum temperature on the morning of July 31 is forecast to be between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum daytime temperature is expected to range from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.


Waves in the coastal waters off the West Sea and South Sea are forecast to reach up to 1.5 meters, and the concentration of ultrafine dust will remain at a 'good' level.


The maximum daytime temperature is expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius in Shinan, Heuksando, Mokpo, Yeonggwang, Hampyeong, Muan, Jindo, Gwangyang, Gurye, Yeosu, and Boseong; 34 degrees Celsius in Gokseong, Goheung, Damyang, Jangseong, Naju, Wando, Gangjin, and Jangheung; and up to 35 degrees Celsius in Suncheon, Haenam, and Gwangju.


An official from the Meteorological Administration advised, "Extreme heat and tropical nights are expected to continue for the time being. The risk of heat-related illnesses is high, so it is recommended to refrain from outdoor activities and going out."
