Gyeonggi Office of Education to Introduce Electronic Employment Contracts, Easing Administrative Burden on Schools

Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will introduce electronic employment contracts when hiring education administrative staff. This measure aims to reduce the administrative burden on schools and enhance the efficiency and convenience of the contract process.

On July 30, the Office announced that it decided to implement electronic employment contracts in response to feedback from schools indicating that administrative and physical burdens are significant due to manual procedures, especially in cases of short-term hiring or urgent personnel replacements.

Additionally, the Office plans to improve the functions of the NEIS system to integrate all recruitment-related tasks, such as submission of employment documents for education administrative staff and guidance on occupational safety and health training.

The Office will continue to enhance the NEIS system so that recruitment tasks for education administrative staff can be managed within the system, aiming to establish a transparent and prompt personnel management system.

With the introduction of electronic employment contracts, individual schools will be able to draft contracts using the 'Education Administrative Staff HR - Employment Contract Preparation' menu in the NEIS system. Employees can then log in to the online staff recruitment system (https://edurecruit.go.kr) and complete the employment contract by providing a remote electronic signature.
