SBI Savings Bank Launches First Responsibility Structure Chart Project Among Savings Banks

On June 30, the bank signed a consulting service contract with Samil PwC for the introduction of the responsibility structure chart. After completing the preliminary preparation process, the bank officially began the project to introduce the responsibility structure chart and establish an internal control system starting the previous day.

The goal of the project is to establish a responsibility structure chart and design internal control management measures according to each responsibility in order to block and reduce the risk of violating financial-related laws and regulations.

Through the project, the bank will establish an internal control system to effectively carry out responsibility identification and allocation change management, management measures according to each responsibility, and self-inspections at branches.

SBI Savings Bank plans to build and pilot the internal control system by early next year and submit it to the financial supervisory authorities. The deadline for submitting the responsibility structure chart for savings banks is July 2 of next year.

The bank plans to complete the consulting by early November and fully establish the system by early next year.

Separately from the introduction of the responsibility structure chart, the bank also plans to identify and improve issues through internal control systems and branch inspections.

An SBI Savings Bank official said, "By simultaneously promoting the introduction of the responsibility structure chart and the establishment of the internal control system, we aim to enhance organizational transparency and accountability in our operations," adding, "This will be an important opportunity not only to secure customer trust but also to strengthen the foundation for sustainable ethical management."
